DESCRIPTION:The BCR winter league is a series of small trail and fell races running most weekends through the winter (with a few gaps to make way for other events). They are informal and friendly\, usually about 10k long\, and with a staggered start designed to get everyone finishing roughly at the same time. DESCRIPTION:The Birkrigg winter league is suitable for all kinds of runner; two laps of a very runnable course over Birkrigg and around Sea Wood. It’s all grass and probably some mud\, so you need shoes with some grip.
