Club Welfare Officers
At Black Combe Runners, we have three welfare officers to support all members of our club, whichever way we can. As welfare officers we are your first point of call if you have a concern or just want someone to chat to. Please don’t hesitate to get in touch with any or all of us, either by speaking to us at a social run / race or contacting us via email at welfare@bcrunners.org.uk.
Who we are
Dave Watson
Dave has been a member of BCR for a number of years and can usually be found out in the fells when he’s not playing a gig somewhere that is. Dave also helps to organise daytime social runs/walks on a Tuesday for members of the club who are retired or recovering from injury and available midweek.
Sue Ross
Sue has many years’ experience with our club, as a long-serving committee member and regular attendee of social runs and local races. Some might describe her as the club’s unofficial social secretary too!
Gavin Lloyd
Gavin has been a member of BCR for 12 years, first joining as a junior. He competes in races throughout the year and regularly attends our weekly Tuesday social runs and our other club events.
England Athletics also have a welfare email address if you would prefer to contact them: welfare@englandathletics.org.
