Dunnerdale Winterleague

The BCR winter league is a series of small trail and fell races running most weekends through the winter (with a few gaps to make way for other events). They are informal and friendly, usually about 10k long, and with a staggered start designed to get everyone finishing roughly at the same time. At the end of the series each person is scored on their best four placements (1 point for first, etc).
The first race in the series is a proper classic: round the Dunnerdale fell race route from the Broughton Mills reading rooms, with hot tea and Christmas leftovers in the hall afterwards.
