The final race in the winter league is a blast straight up and down Black Combe from Whicham Church. There's a good path all the way so it's really just a hilly trail run, but we've had every possible kind of weather for this one. Any runner can do it, provided they have good shoes…
Led by Tim or Nick from the top of the Corney road. Meeting in the Newfield afterwards.
Led by Nick CJ from the crossroads on Birker, and we might even be able to see something this time.
Led by Josh. It says ‘from the slate road’ here but I’m not sure whether bottom or top. Let’s say it’s the bottom for parking.
Led by Will or Sue from Tilberthwaite car park.
Led by John Shev from somewhere up Eskdale.
A trip around the race route and afterwards to Jane’s for a curry. Bring warm clothes as this might mean sitting outside round the fire pit. Fast and slow group; please reply in Spond if needing food.
A trip up and down the Old Man; park at the Biker’ Church in Torver. Please bring full kit and a charged torch. Wilsons Arms afterwards.
Meet at the Hawk at 6:30 sharp, running up to Natty Bridge and on to White Maiden. Bring full kit please, and a head torch. Led by Gavin. Blacksmiths in Broughton Mills afterwards.
Up Grtey Friar from Seathwaite Village Hall, 100m past the Newfield in the Duddon valley. Led by Pete T, with a committee meeting afterwards in the pub. Please preorder food at start of run if dining. Full kit still needed and head torch just in case.
Running up the Dash route from Whicham Church, it says here. Led by Will, it also says. Should not skip meetings. A great view of England, Scotland, Ireland and Wales is possible. Sunset also possible so full kit and head torch please.
