Birkrigg winterleague

The Birkrigg winter league is suitable for all kinds of runner; two laps of a very runnable course over Birkrigg and around Sea Wood. It’s all grass and probably some mud, so you need shoes with some grip. We meet at the bottom of the ski slope, on the Ulverston side of the hill.
The BCR winter league is a series of small trail and fell races running most weekends through the winter (with a few gaps to make way for other events). They are informal and friendly, usually about 10k long, and with a staggered start designed to get everyone finishing roughly at the same time. At the end of the series each person is scored on their best four placements (1 point for first, etc).
